AFROAMERICANA
La Música de los esclavos llegados de Africa por la fuerza y sometidos a un regimen de esclavitud hizo nacer ya en el siglo XVIII una fuerte corriente musical asociada a la religión católica de los esclavos usando muchas veces letras adaptadas de los himnos de la religión angliclana de los colonizadores de USA. Esta música religiosa del esclavo tenía mucho sentimiento y expresión, es la llamada música espiritual (Negro Espiritual en vocabulario de Jazz) que nace de esta raíz y de la música más alegre del esclavo usado para las jornadas laborales extensas y darse ánimo con su música traida de Africa siendo canciones transmitidas de generación en generación, es el Rhythm en jerga de Jazz. De ambos sentimientos nace el Jazz y después el Rhythm & Blues. De la música espiritual del esclavo y del ya formado Jazz en pleno siglo XX nace un Pop Melódico y Rítmico muy especial al que se llama SOUL y que dominó la música afroamericana en relación a un emblema de la lucha de los derechos civiles y raciales, Martin Luther King, asesinado en 1968 por arma de fuego, Premio Nobel de la Paz de 1964. Durante los últimos años de vida de este líder y durante buena parte de los 70's el Soul es lo predominante, igualmente se seguía con el R&B, Gospel, Funk y otros ritmos típicos de la raza. En los 70's muchos blancos se sumaron también a hacer música étnica y el reconocimiento musical y proyección se veía muy factible. Después de terminados los 70's la música afroamericana comienza a derivar a lo festivo y un vocabulario muy distinto a esta música de los años previos, comienza también a perderse la espiritualidad y la expresión vocal e instrumental. El Rap actual. Trap, el Hip Hop y otros pueden gustar a mucha gente pero su esencia es diferente a la música que se escuchará en esta sección de la mi página, en que prima el Soul, R&B y el Funk y combinaciones de ellos lo que es frecuente.
