ROCK
Rock es un amplio género musical y con muchos sub géneros. Su origen es una cadena de estilos basados en el R&B, de este nace el Rock & Roll que fue el género dominante de los años 50's. Al caer en descenso la popularidad del R&R nace el transitorio género llamado Rockabilly (contracción en inglés de habilidad en guitarra y bajo eléctricos). En 1962 nacen profesionalmente The Beatles y The Rolling Stones y luego The Who. Ellos fueron inspirados en la música del R&B, R&R y Rockabilly, en especial de Chuck Berry, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly y otros grandes. Estas bandas fueron cambiando lentamente ciertas estructuras y nace el Rock típico ya lejano del ritmo bailable de los 50's que fue el R&R. El Rock rápidamente crea también múltiples sub géneros como Rock Psicodélico, Soft Rock, Hard Rock, Rock Sinfónico y muchos otros hasta hoy. Para inicios de los 70's el Rock era tan amplio que a todo lo que no fuera Rock típico se le denominó Rock Progresivo, concepto que se abandonó pronto para llamar a cada estilo por su nombre. En conclusión el Rock nace tras la evolución del R&B hasta llegar a nuestro Rock. Muchos músicos de Rock dicen al Rock, Rock & Roll, esto es una costumbre antigua en honor al origen que hemos comentado. Escuchemos Rock diverso primero el más antiguo. Rock 1 contiene pioneros del Rock, desde Rock 2 el orden será aleatorio.
